Wenger In, Wenger Out, Doing The Wenger Hokey Cokey

This week our charming host is Lord Gimli Of Wales (@goonergimli) and he is joined by :
G.C (@shewore) from www.shewore.com
Geoff (‏@GeoffArsenal) from his office (not sure if it has a sofa)
Danny (@The_GFP) & (@TheHighburyInn) from www.the-highbury-inn.co.uk
Plus a very special ex Arsenal Premier League player with over 100 appearances for Arsenal & who played for Arsenal during the George Graham glory years. Who could it be?

Its all about Mr Arsen Wenger this week. But before we get onto Mr Wenger we had a very special guest join us for the first 25 minuets, he played for Arsenal over 100 times and has some funny stories to tell us about his time at Arsenal and talks about our beloved club as it is today as he is a fellow Gooner, we then spend ages debating 'Wenger In' from Geoff or 'Wenger Out' with G.C whilst Danny backs up both sides of the debate and Lord Gimli tries to keep things civil and on track. Its a long one but is a good one. (Contains Strong Language)

  1. Felt G.C was a tad disrespectful at times. Wouldn't let Geoff finish. He had his point about Wenger's control, but then what proof do we have that he enforces it, granted the French arrogance. Ok, bring in Laudrup, win the league cup, the fourth place trophy doesn't matter, league place doesn't matter but then you'd be the first one complaining when Spurs win the Champions League before us given that top four and UCL remains their priority.

  2. on hearing it back i agree that at times i cut into Geoff and have sent him a message saying sorry, but thought without that it could of been too sterile. GC

  3. I could see both sides and thought it was the kind of intelligent, passionate debate you will not get on any radio or tv show where you would be forced to get it all over and done with in 10 minuets.

Both Geoff & GC got to say almost everything they wanted to and yes at times they over talked each other but in a passionate way not a rude way.

At the end after the recording Geoff actually thanked GC and said he really enjoyed the debate and GC agreed. (@The_GFP)

  4. Nice to see it was all in good spirits. I'd give Wenger another year to sort it out. If we get close, then maybe another. Otherwise I guess a change is imminent. There are quite some quality managers out there. Can only wonder who'll replace him. Would want de Boer and Bergkamp, but thats mainly because I just want to see the great Dutchman back at the club.

  5. Fantastic & passionate debate on AW. I am more in the give AW this next year to get fix it camp. We're told the financial restrictions from the stadium build are over so what he does in transfers & team build in the summer will be the decider.
